I have various unabridriged Audiobook recording which I have replaced with Naxos versions as they have been released, e.g. The Lost World, Treasure Island. The reason being is the superior sound quality & supporting literature of the Naxos versions.

I have many Naxos audio books, including ten of the unabridged classics. These are a real treat to listen to. Finally I can enjoy the books as their authors intended, and they are all beautifully narrated too. Thank you!

Tad Davis wrote:

I downloaded [The Lost World] last month. I read the book when I was 16 years old and thought it was wonderful, but for some reason never went back to re-read it. What a pleasure it was to hear it! Glen McCready is a terrific reader, and I hope to hear from him again.

Kelly Rogers Burke wrote:

This is a wonderful option. My family and I have purchased many of your works from Amazon. I was pleased to find your site and, while I have never personally downloaded anything before, I found that I could not resist Herodotus.

Happy to have found Naxos AudioBooks on the web. The selection and quality are superb, and the narrators excellent. A great product all around. Yet I must say that the downloading option has made everything a bit too ‘easy’; I just gobbled up four selections and its my first time here! For sure I’ll return. My best for continued success.

Just thought you might like to here some positive feedback. In all the years that I have listened to audiobooks and bought them from various websites as downloads, your website and download facility, especially payment by PayPal, has been the easiest system I have ever used.

[Jasper Britton’s performance in Treasure Island] is stellar. This has been one of my all-time favourite books since I first read it 40-odd years ago: I’ve returned to it many times since then, whenever I need to take a break from adult responsibilities. I have a number of recordings of the book, and as usual Naxos outclasses them all. Britton’s readings of the characters brought out nuances that are in the text but that, even after all these years, I’d never noticed. Well done!

I think your literature selection is really fine. Can’t wait to plow through stuff I’ve wanted to read for years but never had the time.

It is one of the pleasures I have in life, when I can afford to buy myself a new Naxosaudio book.It has also become an established habit with me since many years to take one of them with me to bed, which brings me gradually to a peaceful and nice sleep. Thank you so much for being there.

Good stock at affordable prices.

Paul Yamoto wrote:

With grateful thanks to the brilliant David Timson who has brought Dickens great work Our Mutual Friend to Life. A veritable galaxy of characters; the possessed Bradley Headstone, the scheming Riderhood, the nobilty of Lizzie Hexham, the haughty Bella Wilfer & John Harmon, the dollmaker who knows their tricks and schemes! and of course the golden dustman himself Mr Boffin. I have enjoyed this audiobook so much and in particular the readers wonderful performance!
Great value and best of my collection.
Thank You!

I'm halfway through War and Peace now. Just one word: brilliant. Keep up the good (read: unabridged) work.

Brycchan Carey wrote:

The unabridged classic novels are fantastic, and I hope there are many more to come. My dog needs two hours walking every day, so the 28 CDs of the unabridged Our Mutual Friend lasted me just over two weeks. Most abridged audiobooks last just a single walk, so are hardly worth buying! Please keep up the good work, and don’t waste any more time on abridgements!

Ian Bignall wrote:

Having access to such fabulous unabridged editions is a boon to anyone who enjoys or works with these books in any capacity. Ubiquitous abridgment has always left audio books something of a scholarly joke, but thanks to Naxos a new means of accessing these incomparable works is available.

Tad Davis wrote:

Naxos AudioBooks are top of the heap, in my opinion: if the same title is available from other publishers, Naxos is almost invariably superior. (This is particularly true of the Shakespeare and Sherlock Holmes recordings.) But the real point is that so many of the titles aren't available from other publishers.

Anne Leys wrote:

Love the unabridged books. A fantastic series, done by good readers.

B.J. wrote:

Let me say thank you for such stellar customer service! To me, I find it so important to know that the seller is gracious and willing to help when there is a problem. Far more important than the problem itself.

Fiona Czerniawska wrote:

“I bought your ‘Great Explorers’, ‘Great Inventors’ and ‘Famous People’ CDs for my eight-year-old and he absolutely loves them. ‘Great Inventors’ in particular has just the right combination of human interest and scientific fact; it also explains the scientific principles with great clarity. I’m recommending these to all my friends!”

David Trey wrote:

“I’ve found that there’s a huge reason why classics have stuck around for so long. I’ve had the greatest time listening to The Iliad. Anton Lesser is the perfect match for Achilles!”

Dan Mooney Jr. wrote:

“I am currently listening to Moby Dick and I have never heard a better version. It is outstanding. Thank you for your time and consideration”

Ray Taylor wrote:

“I have just been listening to WAITING FOR GODOT and cannot recommend it highly enough. Absolutely superb acting and direction - the blend of voices is like music to the ears and the high comedy and pathos brilliantly evoked. Going to order the other Beckett now! Brilliant!”
