Naxos AudioBooks is pleased to announce the launch of a new and exciting listening experience!
We have undertaken the huge task of converting each and every one of our titles to the innovatory M4B format. Designed specifically for audiobooks, M4B files collect each individual track into one single file and ‘bookmark’ your position when you stop listening, allowing you to resume where you left off.
Please visit out M4B page and try our selection of free titles to experience it for yourself!
We also have two new releases for you this month, the first of these being The Prelude, William Wordsworth’s stunning autobiography in verse. Unique in its imagination, freedom, beauty, mystery, passion and innocence, it tells of the poet’s childhood days in the Lake District, his student days in Cambridge and his passion for the French revolution. The Prelude is an inspiring work of imagination, and it comes alive in Nicholas Farrell’s reading of the 1850 text.
Secondly we have Nietzsche’s most important and accessible work, On the Genealogy of Morals, read by Duncan Steen. It is here that the philosopher furthers his investigations in Beyond Good and Evil, and he continues his assault on conventional moral thinking by using an extraordinary style that is larded with both humour and dismissive contempt. The unique rhetorical aspect of his work and his vivid historical imagination are both at their most enjoyable in this new translation by Ian Johnston.
